With the best of intent some organisations commission a whole raft of change initiatives. Organisational structures can mean that multiple initiatives abound which are poorly understood, ill-defined, and often unwittingly on a collision course because of what they seek to deliver individually. Different strategic business units pursue their own projects with vigor and are reluctant to alter their pace. In some instances it is necessary to kill-off projects whilst simultaneously giving birth to others. The individual project manager commonly views the premature closure of a project as a failure on his part and faces bewilderment about as his/her career aspirations. Sterling Solutions’ executives on the other hand have no such fears and will ‘tell it as it is’. They take an open approach to the project in hand. |
