Perhaps the largest and most successful pharmaceutical company in the world, this organisation made a positive decision to introduce SAP as it’s preferred corporate ERP system.   Due to internal resourcing pressures the organisation sought our support  for Programme Management of this critical initiative. We represented the sponsor’s interests in managing a mixed discipline team of internal and external technical consultants.

Scope

The client sought to ensure that the initial implementation of SAP was successfully piloted as a sound basis for global roll-out.  The application of SAP focused on key Finance function e.g. budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis.   It was essential to ensure that:

• the product was launched quickly
• to degree of technical integrity to comply with the regulatory requirements Food and Drugs Administration (FDA) legislation.

 Outcomes

• Satisfied internal Compliance and Validation unit
• Met the stringent FDA requirements.
• Fully migrated data from legacy systems to SAP
• Established system testing methodology for all subsequent roll-outs.
